Enough with hospital trips!

We have really experienced some crazy hospital trips lately.

1st Me:
We had a scare a few weeks ago with the baby and they told us to go to the ER. We went at 4:00AM on Friday and after 6 hours they told us we lost the baby and to go to my doctor on Monday. We spent the whole weekend coping woth it and trying to move forward. WE went in on Monday (my the way this was the first Doc visit) and he told us everyting was great and the baby looked right on schedule! Are you kidding me?! That ER Doc has lost it!!! Afraid to believe it, we were so excited and couldn't believe what we had just experienced!

2nd MY Dad:

Friday, June 12th my Dad went to ER for some serious stomach pain and he was really sick...and I mean he was sicker than a dog to go to the hospital. He thought he would be out later that day....oh was he wrong. That Sunday he went into emergency exploratory surgery on his stomach. He came out a few hours later with 1 foot of his intestines removed and a 12 inch incision down his stomach, even through his belly button! I think it looks like he had an attack with mountain lions. Sound bad? Well it really just began. He spend 9 full days in the hospital with tubes connected all over him. He had nothing the entire hospital stay except 300 calories per day of IV! Holy Moly! My mom slept in a chair or on the hospital floor every night to be with him! We were finally able to make it down to be with him that Wednesday. Everyday he got a little better. He could walk a few more steps and speak a bit longer each day. All we wanted was for him to be home for Father's Day. He got out of the hospital on Saturday and on Father's Day a group of people brought an amazing dinner for our WHOLE family! Poor Pop's had to just watch us eat because he still wasn't able to eat anything not liquid.

He's still not close to recovered or able to go back to work, but he can finally eat food after 14 days! Shoot, I can't even make it an hour without eating!

Despite all this, I had some great time to visit with my Dad. He was able to see how many people he has really impacted and truly care for him. I always knew he touched so many lives, but I think he got a glimpse that he's not just an ordinary person, he's extrodinary!

Oh best part...all this may have come from reusing a water bottle!!! Seriously!

3rd Tim's Dad:

In the middle of my Dad's desperate attempt for attention..haha...Tim's Dad had to go the the hospital for an Angiogram and most likely he was going to have an angioplasty at the same time. Although there was a 15% chance that he had a false postiive on his heart tests and that once they go into the heart, everything would look fine. This fun adventure was on our 3 year anniversary. I am so grateful we had work off to be there for both Dad's during this. We spent most the day at the hospital and crazy enough...he was the 15%. When they went into the heart, it looked great and no angioplasty needed to be done. Amazing! He even got to go home that night!

Needless to say we have had some serious scares lately, but all with good results. Our baby is great, my Dad didn't end up having Crohne's Disease and Tim's Dad's heart was fine! What great blessings! But let's just all lay low on the hospital trip please.
