Yesterday we experienced one of the scariest events imaginable with this pregnancy...Let me just recap about how adventurous this pregnancy has been from the beginning...*This posting by no means is a complaint fest...simply a recap of the exciting events*
7 weeks- sent to the ER and then told we lost the baby, come to find out 3 days later the doctor told us everything was fine and baby was good (weirdest, longest 3 days ever!)
8 weeks to 28 weeks- Worst morning sickness imaginable. I became best friends with the toilet and worst enemies with the thought of having to eat20 weeks- braxton hicks start ( I could handle that)26 weeks- contractions start, right when I had a 3 week lapse in insurance (had to slow down on the exercising)28 weeks- sent to hospital for increasing contractions (officially had to stop working out! ahhh!)30 weeks-got the swine flu and in a small car accident that increased my contractions (all during Thanksgiving vacation)31 weeks- hospitalized for contractions and swine (everyone needs to chill out on the whole swine thing)32 weeks-At rountine appointment had a Non-stress test for increasing contractions. Given a shot of something during the test, next thing I knew I was in an ambulance, after going into basically cardiac arrest from the medicine. Had bad tremors and my speech turned to stuttering and slurring. After a LONG night at the hospital and monitoring the baby, I was released. Contractions got real bad in the hospital and we thought we were for sure coming home with a baby...thank goodness they slowed down after awhile. Still having bad stuttering and my body hurts from the tremors, but thank goodness we're doing okay now. Now on modified bed rest...I should be able to watch every movie I have ever heard of now and read everything I never had time for.Needless to say, this pregnancy has been a wild one. Tim has already grounded to kid for putting "its" parent through this. Labor should be cake after all this...right???
After everything I still managed to get a 32 week picture in (actually 2 days late)
(The strips actually make my belly look smaller...didn't know that was possible)
