A Big Week

1. I turned 1 month old on Wednesday2.Wednesday the doc told me I only need my brace for 2 months total...sweet!

3. On Friday I smiled for the first time...like a legit smile...to my Daddy

4. Friday I had my first professional photo shoot and I pooped all over my mom and she didn't even know until she was at Daddy's work...hehehe

5. Went on my first run with mommy...she's out of shape after I put her on bed rest. I barely fit in my stroller.6. Saturday I had my baby shower5. Sunday I went to church for the first time

Celebrating B's Debut

My besties gave Berkeley and me an awesome shower yesterday to celebrate her arrival. Eliza's creativity came in full force...intense! Thanks to all my girls who came to welcome our new girl to the clan. Mucho thanks to Linds, Alicia, and Eliza!

3 weeks old and look what we accomplished:
Puts herself down for naps
Sleeps in her own room
Down to 1 nighttime feeding

Glorious...Thank you Baby Wise I must say I checked the video monitor like a thousand times last night to make sure I wasn't destroying her psychologically. I did miss seeing her little face in the bassinet, but I did enjoy the extra sleep I got.

17 days old!

1 week old

I can't believe our pea is a week old today!

Today she had to got to the pediatric orthopedic to get her body brace. She has hip displacia which is correctable if caught early enough. She has to wear this sad body brace 24 hours a day! It is so sad to see her in it. I had to go to the doctor with our T and it was horrible. Berkeley looked at me like "Make them stop mommy". Worst mommy feeling ever. We don't know how long she has to wear it yet, but could be up to 6 months. We are lucky enough that it isn't bad enough for her to need surgery.
If that is the only problem she is born with, we are lucky. Many go through a lot worse.

Stubborn Kid!

Word of advise:

Men and any moms who were before their due date- Take your "Be Patient" and find a place to shove it

Moms- Do NOT tell me how over due you were with your first (it doesn't help get this kid out any quicker!)

(I promise I am not crazy to be around as much as it may sound)

No change since Saturday except the kid is now 2 cm bigger than last Thursday...What the! Stop child!

Last vent: Why does my pregnancy counter go back to more time till my due date?! It should be flashing "Stubborn Kid, Anxious Parents"
